Hello all, this very interesting thread [BT problems] other WIDCOMM patch? It was agreed to open a new thread to specifically focus on USB BT dongle f/w related topics.
Summarizing some conclusions will provide a good starting point for the discussion in this thread: 1.) Thanks to billyx we have a f/w, which seems to be quite up-to-date: [BT problems] other WIDCOMM patch? The file contains a HID+HCI f/w version, which obviously applies for 8 MB Flash ROM devices like the D-Link DBT-120, and a HCI only version, which applies for 4 MB Flash ROM devices, like the Acer DBT-500, Epox BT-DG02x etc.
I have used Serial DFU utility to update firmware (ai-4.0.0-317.bc4.dfu).
I have received “Flashing firmware successfully completed.” message at the end.
When I press “Get Device type” button, I get: The device attached to port COM12 seems to be WRAP THORBluetooth address of the device is :5B:00: A5: A5DFU state of the device is app IDLE I am using 38400,8/E/1 settings as default 115200 is not working.By the way, I am receiving C0 40 41 00 7E AD EF AC ED A1 A6 C0 every 500ms or so over UART.Other tools provide the following information:i WRAP update client: Module BT address isn't in Bluegiga range (:xx:xx:xx)Blue Flash: The chip reports loader version 10168 (0x27b8): "cyt_8unified_fl_bt3.0_25b_bluegiga_1_1_1403101107_native_encr56 2014-03-10"The chip reports stack version 6297 (0x1899): "cyt_8unified_fl_bt2.1_23h_0908261702_native_encr56 2009-08-26" It looks like I am booting into BCSP mode.My guess why I cannot boot into i WRAP mode is that I have BT address that is not correct. Please suggest me how should I make i WRAP working again on my WT41?Only registered members may post questions, contact other members or search our database of over 8 million posts.
